New Moon Ideas & Sacred Solar Rejuvenation

Happy New Moon everyone! New Moon in Leo energies are ideal to get your self-love and passion mojo on! But any New Moon can help facilitate movement and inspire you to action, particularly if you intentionally work with the magical energies of the New Moon.

Here are some ideas for working with New Moon energies:

* Ignite the Sacred Essence Energy of a new Tarot deck for more accurate personalized readings. Place the deck on a petition that thanks the New Moon and Night Sun for blessing the Tarot deck with their sacred essence energy of magic and divination. Offer copal or incense, and leave the deck outside or on a windowsill over the New Moon.

* Call in a New Ideal Job. Write your petition thanking the New Moon and Night Sun for ensuring that you obtain an ideal new job this year. Light a 7-day candle on top of the petition and place a glass of water next to the candle. Every day until the candle goes out offer copal or incense.

* Invite more ideal synchroniticies into your life. Write your petition thanking the New Moon and Night Sun for bringing more ideal synchroniticities into your life. Let the universe surprise you. On top of your petition, place a night flower, such as datura, evening primrose, queen of the night, or gardenia augusta, in a glass of water. Once the flower begins to wither, bury the flower and the petition.

And because you may be reading this after the New Moon has passed (there's always next month!), here is a Simple Sunbath Ritual for tapping into the sacred energies of the Sun for rejuvenation, excerpted from my book Sacred Energies of the Sun and Moon:

For the ancient Mesoamericans, high noon, when the Sun is at its highest altitude or zenith, was when the Sun was at its strongest and gave its greatest degree of sacred essence energy. Deceased valiant warriors, virtuous nobles, and rulers were believed to carry the Sun from dawn to its daily zenith at high noon, so this period was equated with courage, greatness, and honor.

When working with high noon, I recommend looking up when the Sun is at its highest altitude in your area (a great site for this is timeanddate.com).

Our energy centers (chakras) vibrate at a specific frequency which is also associated with a color. Placing corresponding-colored crystals on our energy centers can be an incredibly effective way to cleanse and rejuvenate us, especially if we do this outside when the Sun is at high noon and emitting sacred essence energies of power and rejuvenation.

To rejuvenate yourself with powerful sacred solar energies, go outside to sunbathe for 15 to 20 minutes between 12 pm and 3 pm and lay the following colored crystals along your energy centers (chakras) to cleanse and energize you.

* Root chakra (base of spine): Red crystals raise and ground energy

* Sacral chakra (below navel): Orange crystals can help to move, release, and balance energies

* Solar plexus (abdomen): Yellow crystals help to reduce tension, revitalize, and balance energies

* Heart chakra (center of chest): Green crystals promote peace and understanding, or pink crystals induce softness and compassion

* Throat chakra (throat): Blue crystals bring a sense of balance and intuitive knowing

* Third eye chakra (forehead): Indigo crystals can enhance intuitive gifts

* Crown chakra (top of head): Violet crystals enhance spiritual growth and awareness
